Keep Your Students Fired Up this Fall

Fire Up Your Feet Fall Activity Challenge Runs October 1 – 31

Posted on

Encourage the kids in your life to develop an early love of being physically active with Fire Up Your Feet, a fun, easy, and free program that rewards schools with cash awards for keeping physically active. Any school (K – 8) can enroll in the Fire Up Your Feet Fall Activity Challenge, which runs October 1-31, 2016, and the program is available for Kaiser Permanente members and non-members alike.

Active kids learn better in school, and Fire Up Your Feet helps to promote a culture of wellness for students, staff, and teachers in our schools. Over $95,000 will be given to participating K – 8 schools this fall, which can be used by winning schools to purchase playground equipment, bike training programs and bike racks. The program also provides handy hints and incentives for walking and biking, traffic safety measures, and much more.

To learn more, including how to sign up for Fire Up Your Feet, you can visit fireupyourfeet.org. Please help us spread the word by posting this flyer (English/Spanish) in a highly visible area and encourage Kaiser Permanente physicians and employees to share the flyers and program with their local schools.

Fire Up Your Feet is a part of the Safe Routes to School National Partnership, with national partners that include Kaiser Permanente, the National PTA, and People For Bikes.
