Nursing Research Program

In an effort to continually expand our knowledge and improve our clinical practices, the Nursing Research Program offers nurses the opportunity to engage in research on nursing practice, patient care, and patient outcomes. We provide consultative and technical support for nurses to conduct, publish, and disseminate studies that improve patient care and practices which contribute to the nursing knowledge base. The program also collaborates with other Kaiser Permanente research departments to ensure that studies and related activities are contiguous across the spectrum of care. Current areas of research include nursing workforce and leadership, instrument development and validation, and quality of life issues.
